Old Parliament House was only built as the provisional home for Federal politicians and was used from 1927 until 1988.
Today the building brings Australia's fascinating political history to life with free guided tours where visitors can take an exciting journey through the landmark events that shaped the nation.
Old Parliament House is also home to the National Portrait Gallery. The gallery exhibits some of Australia's most famous faces - rangin from film, music and sports stars to politicians.
Open 9am - 5.00pm daily (except Christmas Day) with a small admission fee.
